Hello again , I assume this is not military issue ? Marked " Wilmont Patented Nov 24 1863 " and is kinda neat . Jobe warned me about using tampions but if a legitimate item I wouldn't mind having it on the shelf . Something troops would buy themselves ?!? Thanks Dave

They used to be fairly common because Bannerman had a boat-load of them, but they have dried up like most of the other things I remember so well.
