Hello everyone!

What is the difference between the economy and quartermaster shop Sack Coats and Trousers that Fall Creek makes?

I'm not looking for a recommendation one way or the other, beyond simply what are the concrete differences and do those differences affect overall accuracy from an outward perspective (i.e. what can be outwardly seen by another person).

Thanks for the help!

You'll get better quality elsewhere. Fall Creek is on the low end of the mainstream aspect of the hobby.

Stony Brook is the better choice for trousers.

Below is a thread that might help.

Generally, when you are dealing with any mainstream sutler or vendor selling Civil War uniform items and the choice is between their "economy" offering and something better, not only will the economy version be of diminished quality, it will not last very long or prove as serviceable either. The saying "you get what you pay for" is time honored advice for a reason.

If you are considering the sack coat/trousers for a Halloween costume or something like that, it would probably wouldn't make much difference but if you plan on using the items at an event or in the field get the best you can afford. If cost is an issue, then a quality 2nd hand item is also worth considering.
