Fake War Stories

JPK Huson - thanks for those journal entries. The same thing happened in WW II when the SS was raising a Bosnian Divisions. A lot of fakes came along professing to be officers and in turn received commissions in the SS. When it came to drill or fighting skills, it became clear they were neither officers nor soldiers.

Most Poseurs i have meet have always been "High speed, Low Drag super soldiers" Like Delta, Seals, Recon, Ect.
I have helped outed a number of fakes just by asking the simplest of questions that people who have served would know in a heart beat and would answer without pause..

One of the questions i was always asked when i got out was "So how many people did you kill?" now myself and most every other person i know that served know that is one thing we really never talk about outside of our little group, we dont brag on it and such, we take it as part of the job so to speak.

Now most of the fakes i have meet love to share how they took a guy out at 1 gazzilion miles away using a .999 cal sniper rifle from a helo landing on a mountain top as the guy was running into a cave at night, they go into detail about all that is going around them.

Here is a story of a quite hero, one who doesn't speak of his service or anything,

One of my good friends was a elderly man and his family, old enough for WWII, never said a word about serving all he would say about the war period is that he worked his donkey off.

During his funeral a honor guard showed up and presented his wife (number 2) and his family the flag, needles to say everyone was stunned that he was a vet and we looked into his service and found out that he had a number of medals and citations.
