An Eye for Glory follows the historical exploits of the 14th Connecticut Volunteer Infantry Regiment during the Civil War and deals with the war experiences of a Christian soldier who loses his faith and himself in the heat of battle. At first glance I was afraid the book would be too dry. It has a lot of historical facts in it and I was afraid this was just a platform for a history buff, but soon I realized I was totally immersed into the life of the solder, his wife and the story.
