Hi folks - I posted this link on another thread and got a few likes so I thought I'd share it with everyone. It's a fantastic website for maps and related items - I can't recommend it enough not only for here but for anyone involved in other forms of historical/genealogical research. I've used it for at least 10 years and some of the maps have become my bibles for NYC research.

Best to view the collection in Luna Browser (not sure if you need to install a plug-in) - I know you might need to install/update Java - anyhow it's worth it.
Finally most of the images are available to download in MrSID format - see download link in left hand media information panel - it's up to you whether to download their Image Viewer for this or another - I use ExpressView (mac) and the neat trick now is that you can save/export the .sid files as hi-res tiffs or jpegs.
I defy anyone to complain about the quality of these images!
