Event Honoring 27 Soldiers

Thought I'd post a event I put on at a cemetery in Mansura La. my reenactor buddy's help me out going to each grave speaking a few words and placing a flag at each soldier. I also researched as many as I could to find living family members of the soldiers and invited them also. We had a great turn out even with a little bad weather of about 40 people. We also fed them lunch. It was very nice, hope to do another cemetery soon.

That is really interesting. At our local Soldiers and Sailor monument the summer interns were working on getting info about every soldier whose name appears on the walls. I was really sad that they couldn't keep my son on after the summer. Doing research and being a docent/living historian suits him down to the ground!
