I was inquiring where I could find the enlistment numbers of how many Nothern & Southern soldiers enlisted by county/state...I was wanting to know the numbers for the counties in Kentucky Caldwell, Lyon, Crittenden & Trigg.

Thanks

Your best bet will be to look for the County History (generally written and published a decade or two after the war) that can - if you're lucky - actually name all of the enlistees/volunteers (for each side).
Where to find said county histories? Some haven't been digitized yet, but I'd suggest starting here
http://www.kykinfolk.org/caldwell/

Let us know what you find out.

The tricky thing is going to be deconflicting multiple enlistments. It's often remarked that it's quite possible for one man who serves for most of the war to count as three enlistments (90 day volunteer, 3 year volunteer, then reenlists) and that bounty jumpers could count as dozens of enlistments but zero actual fighting value.
