Hello I am an avid collector. I bought this P53 bayonet at auction. It is the first that I have ever seen with silver plated iron mounts on the scabbard. I'm hoping that one of y'all have information about it.
It also appears that the socket has been "sleeved." What is the interior diameter?
I'm going to speculate that it may have been altered for a Martini-Henry.

The arrow with an I underneath (in place of WD) was an Indian armory issue., often made in Britain in the early days (after 1859) before Indian production was started.
