In honor of Juneteenth, both the Emancipation Proclamation and General Order Number Three will be on display at the National Archives from June 19 through June 22. If you happen to be in Washington, DC this weekend you can see both original documents in the East Rotunda of the Archives, which are located at 701 Constitution Avenue. Other exhibits which would normally be open are currently closed as the Archives undertakes a redesign of its permanent galleries. Still, it would be worth it just to see these two historic documents!
