As we are watching the film 'Glory' in my Civil War class, I related the story of Edward Needles Hallowell to the students. One asked what happened to him after the war, and while I am aware he died very young in 1871, the only information that seems available about it is that it had "something to do with war wounds". Does anyone have any other information that I might share about what kind of wounds or events that led to his untimely death after the war? Thanks in advance!
