On Saturday we travelled down to Zanesville for drill, so that my son could participate in the Memorial for one of our fallen Battery mates. And yeah, we got up and were out the door before 7:15! There is one rest area, between home base and the destination...ugh!

Anyway, the drill site was in a corn field and we knew that we would be on a rough path..well, let me tell you that path was ruff and dusty..holey moley! I was the only gal "dressed"..it was optional, but I like dressing..so there is that..

Anyway, after we got back to our car, my son saw the state of my skirts and said, "Mum, let me dust off your skirts. I have a hankerchief." He also said I looked like I had been run over...well, black skirts and brown dust...he proceeded to dust off my skirts, 360, So that when we arrived at the Memorial, my skirts were "fresh".

Thank you, my Boy. You made me proud.
