Does anyone know about this company and what year it was founded?

They were in Boston, listed in the Daily Advertiser in 1861 for military tents. Hooper's work involved galvanizing rings, chains and eyes used in tents to prevent oxidation and he advertises this service at 58 Commercial and 66 Causeway. Hooper is listed as a copper dealer at that address at least through the Civil War years.
