I signed up last night. I haven't read enough this year, and I want to give myself some sort of accountability for 2022. I also want to see what's new and upcoming so I can actually stay current on such things.

Does anyone else use Goodreads for either purpose? Is there an existing CWT circle on that site that I can join in on?

If no one answers you in the meantime, JeffFromSyracuse, I'll make inquires of the librarians up in Adult and Teen Services when I go into work later this week. They tend to get the patron calls for help with things like this.

JeffFromSyracuse, I asked my colleagues at the Adult and Teen Services desk your question about groups in Goodreads. They advised to do this:

Log into your account.
Toward the top of the home page there is a bar with several choices, including Community.
Click on Community.
This should give you a drop-down menu that includes Groups.
Click on Groups.
Toward the top of the page is a search box.
Type The American Civil War in the search box.
If this group is not at the top of the page, scroll down a short way and it should be there. The American Civil War group has 800+ members, and I believe it is currently reading James McPherson's The Battle Cry of Freedom. The librarians said it appears to be an active group.

I hope this works for you. I don't have an account with Goodreads (although I probably should), but it you have more questions or any problems, please post and I'll pass them on to my colleagues to see how we can help.
