Do you see what I see?

I was out at Herbst/McPherson's Woods on Saturday late afternoon, and snapping some pics. I took a few of the McPherson Barn, but it was only after two people began walking to the barn that I saw something decidedly out of place for that part of the battlefield. No, nothing supernatural, just something totally unexpected. Can you find it?

When I saw the thread title I was hoping for a paranormal thingy ... But I'll take a Blue Heron!

Yes, to the heron!

Later, I'll post a few more of my "action shots" that I took as it flew off to the middle of the field to get away from the people coming to look at the barn. It was really a cool and unexpected sight! I suspect the heron was really there to check out the quarry pond on the other side of the barn.

Okay, once I realized what I was seeing, I tried to get a couple more shots as the heron flew toward the woods. It only flew as far as the middle of the field, however, before it landed, and then just hung around there, which was where it was when I left. Still, it was a neat sight!
