Cyclorama on Baltimore

Before the Cyclorama Building was constructed in Ziegler Grove in 1962, the painting was displayed in a circular shaped building on Baltimore Street located where the current Tour Center is now. Here is a photo from the '50's looking up Baltimore Street towards the Cemetery that includes part of the building. For comparison, I am including a similar modern view using a google earth shot. Notice the façade that was added to the house on the right when it became the Hall of President's Museum.

I forgot about the old Cyclorama building. I am much too young to have personally seen this building live.

I really liked the recently demolished Cyclorama building. But I must admit the Cyclorama's new location and presentation is very well done.

I thought a photo of the old old building was appropriate.
