Culp's Hill touring advice

I have a few free days a the end of April and I'm thinking of driving down to Gettysburg (from NY) for a day or two. I might try to catch Buchanan's Wheatland home on the way over. In Gettysburg, I'ld like to focus on Culp's Hill, since I've never been able to give it adequate attention on previous trips and always found the terrain confusing, particularly from the Confederate perspective. I'm a walker and enjoy going off paved paths. Any suggestions for guide books, maps etc, to take along? Preferably something readable in the field and not too heavy. Anyone else is welcome to join me if interested.

No recommendations on any of the above, but when I was at Gettysburg I climbed Culp's Hill, bottom to top, from the north side, through the woods. It was an awesome experience (and got the heart thumping!).
