It is accurate and matches the recovered section of casemate. The first time I saw this was in the CSS Georgia Archival Study. A report submitted to the US Army Corps of Engineers. Authors Mark Swanson and Robert Holcombe. Dated January 31 2007. I have a paper copy but it may be on line now.

Yes. That is accurate. They used railroad iron instead of iron plating.
