Contract between them for building ironclads for the Confederacy.
Power of attorney between same parties.

July 22
G. A. Trenholm : Memoranda in reference to Sanders building, furnishing and equipping an ironclad steamer for the CSN.
Disapproves of contract.

Aug 5
G. N .Sanders to R. Sanders : Hopes no legislation will be enacted that might interfere with his construction of ironclad steamers.

G. N. Sanders to J. E. Ward : Requests contracts in his possession to be forwarded through J. W. Mason in London, England
to himself.

I haven't been, so far able to trace J. E. Ward.

If I did get round to building it, I'd probably have a mid to dark grey hull, black funnel, Timber (tan?) masts, black yards.
Bulwarks internally would be white, (virtually universal) boats white outside. Teak hatch coamings etc with black or dark grey gratings on deck. decks and boat interiors scrubbed oak. Anchors and mooring gear black.

Thank you Rebel, will look into scaling a model for this one and getting it built in a couple of months.
