Coincidentally I was in the Horse Soldier today talking to Wes about a Confederate piece and I asked if Les had seen it, 15 minutes later, in walks Les. He was on his way to the Dalton show and needed a break.
Les curated all of those uniforms you were lucky enough to view today, of course you already know that. Any time I can get one on one time with him is a blessing!
Les and I are both in the Company of Military Historians. He almost always spend three days at the annual convention. So I do get to chat with him a fair amount. His brother Sam sometimes attends as well.

Is the four-button coat the one that belonged to Thomas Vaden Brooke of the 3rd Co., Richmond Howitzers?
If not, it's a dead ringer for it. I'm becoming more and more interested in those weird jackets, so if it is not, please post any more info you have on it

I thought it was, but I also thought the Brooke Jacket was in Richmond. Guess I was just kind of hoping there was a different jacket made in that pattern
