I don't recognize that particular flag, that despite having seen untold numbers of Confederate battle flags. Despite common usage, "THE Confederate Battle Flag" does not exist.
Each of the 29 CSA army commanders was authorized to create his own battle flag. Braxton Bragg, commander of the Army of Tennessee, chose not to. At the Battle of Stones River, there were at least six Confederate battle flags.
Beauregard & Johnston's mania for a standardized "pants suspender flag" never came across the Mississippi into the land of "Kirby Smith-dom."
As has been illustrated above, Kirby Smith's battle flags consisted of various combinations of gold stars on a red field.
The flag at the head of this thread has all the Kirby Smith-dom's design elements, stars, crescent moons & crosses on a red field.
There are I don't know how many iterations of the Kirby Smith battle flag. As I said, this one doesn't ring a bell. There may never have been another one made. Who knows?
