One of the programs presented at the recent 2020 Shiloh Muster was CS Hospitals & Medical by @lelliott and it was fascinating. Laura's GGGrandfather was Dr. William C. Cross the Senior Brigade Surgeon for Wood's Brigade in Hardee's Corps and he established a brigade hospital at the Mickey house on Monday afternoon, April 7, 1862.

Laura presented her program, CS Hospitals & Medical, near the Mickey house location 158 ½ years after her GGGrandfather! It was a special to me and I know she and her sister, Diane, @Diane123, must have been having goosebumps. One could easily imagine the horrific scenes and sounds that once were here and the young men suffering and dying.

The presentation was very informative and coupled with her computer PowerPoint program and the Civil War medical instruments brought to life! I had never imagined the surgeries and amputations till Saturday and will always have my view of the battle changed. Thank you Laura for sharing your knowledge with all of us.
Regards
David
