CS Gardner Canteen

A friend has a real nice Gardner Canteen with a screw on wooden spout, he was wondering if Orig's were made the same way?

The one original that I've handled did have a screw on wooden spout.

Thanks.................... He will be happy, He thought the maker of the canteen added this feature and thought a orig type of canteen would not have a removable spout.
