Lately in the world an act of what I call tyranny, has happened. But before I go off on a rant, let me first explain something. During the war between the states battle flags where military symbols. It was a way to show where units were at, used as a guide so the men could line up properly in a battle line, and many other things battle related. Not that the war has come and gone many of those flags are now symbols of heritage, pride, and history. One of these flags which has had much controversy is the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia. besides its historical meaning, today it stands a memorial to all of the men, women, and the families who served or felt the weight of war. People say its a symbol of slavery, hate, prejudice, or kin to the neo natzi flag, well I beg your pardon! The red on the flag is the blood of all the men who shed their blood fighting for a cause they believed in. the blue is the tear shed from the men and families who lost a loved one. and the white is a memorial to all of those who gave their lives fighting for their cause. so let me say this to all of you who wear, fly , or have a love and pride in the battle flag you have NOTHING TO BE ASHAMED OF! California is trying to outlaw the sale of the battle flag and that my friends is something to stand up against !

"California is trying to outlaw the sale of the battle flag and that my friends is something to stand up against !"

California passed legislation that bars its sale by entities of the state government.

Hello, 18th,

Many of us honor the symbolism of that flag and ALL the flags of both sides that flew over the fields of that tragic conflict. Yes, flags on both sides have been appropriated at times for the use of various hate groups. But the flags themselves DO NOT stand for hate.
