I have that I used for Living History It was not as large as it cut up a bit … (idiots) but fits me fine very old pics... it was for demos mostly but have used it depending on weather used a shelter half or two haves and the gum blanket, poncho always on top ... I agree wool better

I have several that I use in the field also. Depending on the temps and forecast and the type of event it is... ie: lengthy immersion event or a simple LH display. Some ratty ones that are fine to get wet or muddy... others Id rather not..

Thank you its been years since in the field... Could do loving history little rusty heart there body not so much

Appears to be a double weave... very warm, but a bit of weight to lug around too far.

I have one woven by a great-great aunt from wool raised on the farm. I know it was done post Civil War but I don't know exactly when.

The Farmers Museum at Cooperstown NY had an exhibit once about coverlets with a lot of fascinating info on the weavers who went from town to town making custom quilts on a large loom.

sucker is heavy for sure most are
