Hello all, I'm reading an old diary from the war, and the soldier mentions being at "seminary hospital on a hill one and a half miles from Corinth". My question is, does anybody know where that was? Is the building still there. Doing google searches and some looking around I've come up empty so far. Thanks!

Edit. I'm thinking Corona female college???

It was indeed the Corona Women's College.

The sad part is that they are turning the Shiloh Visitor Center into the same type center.
That stinks. You know, I find nothing wrong with the earthworks, guns and getting to heft those weapons. But other than that it was basically an air conditioned morgue.

I used to go to Shilo with my grandfather ever summer. Always watched the film. Guess things change for the better or worse. Mostly worse.

I recently moved from Corinth. Enjoyed the people there, they were always kind and mannerly. So much history there that is untapped. You would think it would have been different but....Interpretive Center and the unvisited Contraband Camp just don't cut it. You have the old siege lines here and there, but for such important city in the early part of the war it is lacking any other real ACW historic sites to truly visit.
