My ancestor was Duncan Cooper of Tn., anybody with info that would like to share I would appreciate it.

From what I have found on Fold3 there is a Duncan B cooper, Lt Colonel in the Tennessee Calvary, and was captured during a chase at Swan Creek on Feb 16, 1864. Was sent to Camp Chase in Ohio on Mar 2, 1864 then transferred to Delaware on Mar 25, 1864. There are other records as well, Will try to post the records shortly once I can get to my desktop computer.

Do you have a date of birth? or a county of residence?

I searched the Tennessee 1860 Census and found 100+ "Cooper" names. Then I searched for "D. Cooper" and found 4 with "D" as first name and several more with "D" as middle initial. I even found a "D. B. Cooper".

Did any of your relatives jump out of a Boeing 727 with a sack of stolen money??
