I just learned that Vic Vignola's ground-breaking study of the fighting at Fair Oaks on May 31-June 1, 1862 has received the prestigious Fletcher Pratt Award for 2023. As we know, this is a "big deal" for authors of Civil War non-fiction - especially for a first-time author. Kudos to the author and his publisher Savas Beatie.
