Although not proven this picture may have been taken by the same photographer who took the alleged "Confederate Dead on Matthews Hill" picture [3rd Picture]

The picket post photo seems odd to me?

A lot of vegetation for Virginia in December- at least looks to me.

It's a shame that Taylor and Huntington did not publish a better caption for the camp scene on their stereoview. The caption they did publish is almost certainly false and probably made up by them.

Looks like one other photo was possibly connected with the group, or else T & H just published any Civil War-related negatives they could get their hands on.

It seems that all four//the "Cooking" the posing with rifles; the firing with rifles; the dead are just renenactors...
Not suprising...in WIlliam DAvis Ciivl War history is shown what is alleged to be a union artilleryman sitting among Devil Den rocks with Big and little ROund tops in background...gettysburg...right location but according to William frassanito it was taken in the 1880s...!!
