Confederates Need Not Apply

I saw this by a great organization I've supported and I was immediately disappointed. Someone I spoke to told me that they asked about the absence of Confederate reenactors and was supposedly told "We don't want decendants of traitors." Anybody know if this is the official stance of the ABT? I haven't gotten a response from them.
