Confederate Weekend....

Spent the weekend going to a couple events. Saturday there was a dedication ceremony for a couple dozen Southern Crosses of Honor, in Shawsville, VA. Even though it was chilly, was a pretty good turnout. Here's a few pics:

Both cannon crews are personal friends of mine. They are all great guys who take this stuff very serious, & absolutely love this stuff.

Was a nice color guard, complete with piper.

Today there was an event in Appomattox, VA. It was a memorial ceremony at the Confederate Cemetery. Attendance was pretty good. Some say, best attendance in years. Was such a nice day a few of us rode our motorcycles. It's approx 100 miles from my house... Here's a few pics:

There were several speakers, the most notable was Teresa Roane.

What an awesome event this was. Sure glad I was able to attend.

That was a nice turnout! With the COVID virus scare fading away hopefully my SCV camp will have good turnouts for the events we have planned this year.
