I have not tried charcoal yet; thanks for the suggestion. I'm always looking to try new media.

Charcoals a lot of fun and you can really get some great value (lights and darks) with it.

I'm working on a concept sketch for a piece that I want to do, skirmishers moving through a wooded area, still sketchy but will post it when I think it worthy.
