This may have been asked before. If it was, please excuse me for the post.

I have been looking for information on the Confeferate position at St Johns Bluff near Jacksonville. Maybr I'm thick, I'm not sure, though you ask my wife you get a huge thumbs up.

Was the position as rhe present day location of the rebuilt Ft Caroline, or in a different position nearer Yellow Bluff? Was it an extention of Ft. Caroline's original lines?
I've seen photos of a hotshot furnace at Ft Caroline...

I'm not even going to get into is Ft Varoline IS Ft Caroline

Thoughts?.

The Confederate battery is that the end of the point, a mile or so west of the reconstructed "Fort Caroline."

The bluff site is presently a mix of public and private property. The principal site of the battery is within National Park property, the "Ribault Column" park section of the Fort Caroline National Memorial includes the area of the Confederate Battery.

Here is an excellent video clip from the site of the Confederate battery now occupied by the "Ribault Column"...

The Spanish-American War "St. Johns Bluff Battery" site a little south of the old Confederate Battery site, was only preserved in the last several years, with it turned over to the National Park Service in 2018....
