Hello everyone. I am new to your organization and fascinated with the plethora of information. I am looking for info on Confederate Captain E.W. Capps. I believe I own his personal sidearm, but I cannot verify it's authenticity.
E.W. Capps, Captain, 15th VA Calvalry CSA. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Warmest Regards,

Steve

Wow, that's a very interesting pistol! I can't help your specific inquiry but I'm sure you'll get some helpful feedback pretty soon. In the meantime, welcome!

Welcome! Thanks for sharing the photos of this beautiful piece! Was it an inheritance, a family heirloom?

I don't have established provenance yet. I sent photos to Lt. Col Marshall at VMI and will be talking with him next week.

Warmest Regards,

Steve
