Here is a very unique piece I acquired. This naval cutlass was taken from the CSS Texas when it was captured by Union forces when Richmond fell. It has an old GAR Post # 173 tag on it. The cutlass was mainly used for cutting ships rigging and ropes as well as close combat. This one will definitely cut all 3. US Navy Commander Gerald C. Roxbury did a great article on 2 of these in his collection that came off the CSS Florida.
