At my chapter meeting for United Daughters of the Confederacy, the presenter of our program passed out list of Confederate Holidays that had been designated by Southern States shortly after the War. Just thought some of you might be interested. The list was from "The Confederate Colonel"
January 10 Robert E. Lee's Birthday Confederate Heroes Day (Tx.)
January 21 Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson's Birthday
February 22 Founding of C.S.A./Jefferson Davis inaugurated.
March 4 Confederate Flag Day
March 27 Confederate Day of Prayer, designated by President Jefferson Davis in 1863 as a day of "fasting, humiliation, and prayer" in the Confederate States.
April 26 Confederate Memorial Day in Al., Fl., Ga., and Ms.
May 10 Confederate Memorial Day in N.C., and S.C.
also "Stonewall" Jackson died.
May 30 Confederate Memorial Day in Va.
June 3 Confederate Memorial Day in Ky., La.
and Tn.
Also Jefferson Davis Birthday.

December 6 Jefferson Davis died.
She had presented program on her ancestor who fought for the Confederacy and added these dates as extra information. Just thought some of you be interested.
