We all know the regulamentary insignia of rank for Confederate generals:
confederate general star 3.jpg
General officers used a few personalization, the main one was the one that saw the three stars without wreath:
confederate general star si wreath no.jpg
The general T.M. Logan in his coat wore every star within wreath:
confederate general star 1.jpg
It 'possible that some general has adopted two star within wreath?
I have seen the pictures of General Wickham:
Confederate Cavalry General Williams C. Wickham large.jpg
It is possible that he teaches this?
confederate general star 2.jpg
what do you think?

Three stars without a wreathe was the rank insignia of a colonel. Wickham did not receive promotion to the rank of Brigadier General until September, 1863. I think you have a picture of him before his promotion.

I saw the picture in Heritage auction, it is dated 1864/65, when wickham was Brigadier. I think to see the wreath and two stars
