Be careful... a recent Newsweek article says, "Experts estimate that there are only 20 to 50 authentic Confederate battle flags on the private collectors' market today."
They appear to be replicas of original flags, maybe postwar.
Top one looks like it is based on this flag that was presented to the 8th Virginia after Ball's Bluff/Leesburg. It was made by Mrs. Beauregard from dress silk.
No, No, No and No; there are a couple of individuals who turn these out and have literally made hundreds of thousands of dollars. I don't collect flags and not into vexillology, but I have a buddy who is and he told me the horror stories of individuals who have been duped by these two.
You really need to know what you are looking at in this field and do not take a flier without an expert viewing the piece. Many of these end up in auctions now instead of direct purchase, because they have become known as counterfeiters.
