Could you give a little background on each plaque?

All that I know is that they were placed there to commemorate the history of the building, and of the Alabama, possibly in the 1970 when a group tried to raise funds to build a replica of the Alabama. I only became interedted in 1997 when I was told of the "forgotten American" buried in Liverpool.
