My wife's father had these when he passed. I know they're not original but are pretty neat recreations so thought I'd share.

Cockades in the shape of rosettes or palmetto trees were made and worn by Charlestonians to symbolize their defiance of the Union during the session convention in December 1860.

During the War Between the States the cockades were made and worn by soldiers and civilians (men and women) throughout the south as emblems of sectional solidarity.

Very nice, how do you know that they are not original, just curious.....
