Confederate Casualties

I made this using old Michael Robert's figures that I had decided I wasn't going to paint as individuals . Another company that is no longer in business , they had an extensive range of 100mm ( 4") Civil War figures . The quality ranged from pretty good to very good . The weapons were always excellent , but the uniforms often were not well detailed in the draping of the material . I had several Confederates left so I did some surgery and sculpting to turn them into casualties . The fence was made out of basswood . I struggled getting decent pictures of this because my camera distorted the sizes of the figures when taking frontal images .

Just a suggestion. Maybe some more damage to the fence as shots would have without doubt struck it along with the men.

I have a few rounds going through the fence and a few splinters that don't show up in the posted images . I think that is good advice and I will add more battle damage .

Brilliant Diorama, it reminds me of the Keith Rocco's painting 'Eye to Eye' showing the fighting at the fence along the Hagerstown Turnpike at Antietam. Amazing groundwork and as usual top job on the painting.
