MS Confederate Burials In Columbus, MS

While touring the Friendship Cemetry in Columbus, MS I noticed a large number of the confederate graves were fellow Texans. The largest amount were from the 14th TX Inf. (abt. 36), and the 27th TX Cav. (abt. 31). I was wondering if anyone could tell me why?
