Collins battery, Prices Raid

At vacation cabin, so don't have access to my library, but am reading recent work of raid by Lause.

In it he says of CS artillery it varied from six foot long piece "invaluable for picking of individuals at long range" to southern cast breech loaders with Capt Richard A Collins battery, the best in Prices army, some firing a single leaden ball as far as three miles".

Collins battery was generally gave as having 4 10pd parrots, so not sure what "southern cast breech loaders" he's referring to.
