This is my impression of the 1st SC. This was taken near my home, but its supposed to represent an early volunteer in late 1862.

Again very well done, IMO you have captured the essence. The build, youth and the attitude of an USCT man. When I see this impression I just can't help but think: 'bottom rail on top now!'
