Stepsue, they look very nice and are similar overall to other uniform plates I've seen - but... You seriously need to examine if possible some articles of equipment you illustrate. The cap pouches and bayonet scabbards are especially distracting. Union cap pouches were uniformly black, though the brown on some figures would be okay for Confederates. The bayonet scabbards were very form-fitting on the spike bayonets. Also, on a related note, the angle of the bayonets is to the right - opposite to what's shown on the highlander. The zou-zou's M.1855 rifle's lockplate should be the same steel as the rest of the mountings, although I think the nosecap *might* be brass. My greatest criticism, however, is the poor Alabaman who's about to lose his knapsack because it only has a single strap!
