Recent Find Civil War Bayonet

Hello,

I am brand new to this forum and look forward to some expert opninions. I found this bayonet at a estate sale and from the research I have done I am finding a few mixed opnions. What would your opinion be as to the date, fitment and todays worth of this bayonet?

Outside dimension is 1" and inside is between 3/4" and 7/8" I penny goes right through the socket, if that helps.

U.S. Model 1816 for sure. In average/good condition. Price range $85 - $110. Your photo looking inside the socket is confusing. It appears the bayonet was reworked at one time to fit other muskets than the ones originally intended.

Yep 1916. A lot of the muskets were converted to percussion in 1850 at Springfield Armory. As @connecticut yankee stated it looks like something going on in the socket which should be .83
