Civil War Animated Website highly recommended!

I do recall putting this on the board but couldn't find it even though I checked my list of thread starters. I don't know where it is so I'll post a new one.

This is a very helpful website that provides lists of battles/campaigns you can select and watch the animated videos. The Chickamauga video helped me alot with the units locations and so forth from confusion.

I want to provide an update from the website that now includes:
The Road to War and The Mexican American War that includes 2 additional battles: Buena Vista and Cerro Gordo.

I concur. Civil War Animated is a great site for orienting yourself and getting an overview of the major battlefield movements for the battles/campaigns available.

Great site. When the animation begins rolling you can see bad things as they are about to unfold two steps ahead.

It's an excellent site that I've used for quite awhile. It's fairly accurate in the troop movements also.

Oh, cool! I'm so happy they're doing the Mexican War! I use this when the Civil War Trust doesn't have an animated map. Nothing like seeing, as someone commented, things unfolding. Shiloh is quite complicated, for example, so it adds a great deal for my students.
