Chattanooga from the North Bank of the Tennessee
We often see photographs of Lookout Mountain, but let's take a look at photos of Chattanooga in general. Prior to the Civil War, Chattanooga had moved from a place where cotton was transported from the port to become a rail center. Along with railroads, Chattanooga had a charcoal iron industry. By the time of the Civil War, it had become a town of 2,000 people.
