Hey all. I'll be in Charleston mid July for the Sons of Confederate Veterans national reunion. Reaching out hoping somebody here might could recommend a good place to relic hunt in the area, or even willing to take somebody out with them! Id really love to bring home a relic from SC. Id be over the moon to find a bullet down there!!!! Very grateful for any advice, or anybody that might be willing to link up. Thanks!

I was in the Navy at Charleston, I remember the Navy exchange on base had a huge cannonball from when they were building it. Basically a bowling ball size,. Liked it there. When I was stationed in Norfolk VA. I wanted to go see the sights, like Petersburg, but no clue how to get anywhere, but over 30 years later my son went to college in Lynchburg, he took us to Appomattox.🙂

Charleston is one of the very few places in the Eastern Theater that I care to visit. There are a few more but not that many. But from what I've seen and heard it's become somewhat of a Tourist Trap with "elevated" prices.

Charleston has always been expensive. It's always been touristy and there's a LOT of old money.
