I was watching a good video on YouTube about the battle of Petersburg. It was a Vermont based show so it gave specific attention to the states soldiers at the battle. The actions of this man were mention in regards to the breakthrough at Petersburg ,it was an interesting tale. He received the medal of honour for his actions on April 2nd 1865. The site of the attack made by the 5th Vermont is preserved as part of the Pamplin Historical Park outside Petersburg.
