I hunted in the middle of the freakin' day.....I really thought I was going to die of heat stroke. I was pleased to find the musket hammer. I also got a ramrod. I'll have to post that picture up.

Gotta give the E for effort. In my younger day the heat didin't matter as long as I was finding stuff, but with the "global warming" I have to wait till fall.

No matter how much water I drink or breaks I take, just being in that hot summer heat is a killer. At age 58, it's starting to show on me. When I was younger, I could go all day and then some....

Be careful out there! I just wore myself out mowing my front lawn at 8:30 in the morning. It's not the heat so much as the humidity that makes it unbearable to be outside for very long.

Is the house still there? Or did I miss something? Tom, we are croaking up here. Our heat has been in the 90s with the heat index at 100 because the humidity is so high. We open the door to go outside and it is like walking into a wall of hot Saran Wrap for us. My horse is in his stall with a high-powered fan on him. This is ridiculous for us. Hopefully our last day of this - it's been going on for days.

Due west of you @NH Civil War Gal and it's the same. I feel like I'm back in my Florida childhood - nasty hot with crazy thunderstorms every afternoon. But no beach!
